- All about Last Year’s Gem Show (and info about the surrounding healing vortex!)
- If you’d like a thorough Tucson Gem and Mineral Show Primer (plus Insider Tips!), I have a classic blog post here all about it. I think anyone who loves crystals should get familiar with what this “show” is all about. Even try to get out to see it at least once. Make it a bucket-list item.

2018 Highlights
The first show of many separate shows I mention in the above vlog is the Kino Show at the Kino Sports Complex – it’s one of the larger shows, kind of away from some of the other ones off Ajo Way (yes, gorgeous ajoite is named after this area where it was first discovered!):
The Kino Show has literally EVERYTHING from all around the world (not just crystals…rugs, carvings, statuary, clothing, etc)!
This year I went back to this show 2 or 3 times (lost count) and I did a livestream from there towards the end of the show season to show you how EASY it is to get great deals on crystals (a bit of gentle haggling)… because sellers want to unload so they’re not carting all the heavy stones home.

The large crystal cluster featured below was dug at Ron Coleman’s Mine in Arkansas. He usually has two locations at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. But his BEST OF THE BEST specimens are always located at his location at the Mineral and Fossil Co-op on Oracle Rd where this photo was taken.
I hope I was able to capture just a sliver of the mega-energy and excitement from this year’s show for you to enjoy.
Hey, I’m thinking of also editing up some video from our side-trip to the Bisbee Turquoise Mining District out in Arizona too. Please let me know in the comments below if you’d be interested in that and I’ll get on it! [Did it. 🙂 You can check it out here.]
Have you experienced the unparalleled crystalline experience of the Tucson Gem Show yet? If so, I’d love to hear about that in the comments below. What did you think?
Crystal Blessings,
No I never been but I would love to go that is Definitely on my bucket list
that’s the first step in getting there, Calleen!

WOW! Just WOW!! This is truly spectacular!
As someone who can read crystals’ information & then use it to sort of “amplify” my ability to transmute negative energies & help heal people’s emotional body (by connecting to their heart center), I don’t think you’d be too shocked to hear that I felt an immediate emotional connection to the crystals shown here! The energy is very strong – I almost burst into tears (twice lol)! That’s not unusual for me – sometimes I have trouble keeping it together just walking into a smaller crystal shop! Lol. Thanks for sharing your experience with us Hibiscus! This is truly magnificent!!
Oh my gosh, Allyson. I know EXACTLY how you feel! I get like that watching other’s videos. 🙂
Loved the live feed so much, great to see it all and great tips too.
Yes pleeeease share your turquoise mine experience, I am so curious!
Hey Mari! Some others have also expressed interest in that vlog so I’ll get to it. Please keep in mind, we didn’t get to mine any turquoise. It’s just the district where a lot of turq. is mined from but you CAN mine some yourself in April! Check it out: http://turquoiseland.com/bisbee-turquoise-hunt-april-28-2017/
Hi Hibiscus, Loved watching the new vlog. I was there this year (my first time!) and it really was a trip of a life time! Brought home several gorgeous pieces. I was able to find a large amethyst point with record keepers (like your “5 brothers” that you posted about in 2014). I know your super busy but if you ever run across the photos that you took with the one that picked you can you please post? More Glitter + Sparkles from Tucson! ~ Crystal Treasures this is one of my favorites posts and I’m not ashamed to say I’ve watched it several times and probably will again!
Blessings to you,
Sylvia
Wasn’t it amazing, Sylvia? A photo of Amy Bro? I think I have him showing off over here: https://hibiscusmoon.com/things-you-didnt-know/ ♥
Thank you so much for taking the time to pull this up, I know this is a super busy time for you and your crystal colleagues !!
He is giving off the most amazing aura! I must take a pic of mine to see what he shows me.
I came back with quite a crystal haul for a first-timer and I have enjoyed taking my time getting to know my little treasures, I look at some of them and think “I can’t believe I have you! For now anyway.” Some interesting meditating experiences and I’m just getting started.
Blessings,
Sylvia
Hey Stephanie,
How are you? I would love to see your side-trip to the Bisbee Turquoise Mining District.
The Tuscon G&M Show is on my bucket list, now all I have to do is work out how to get there in time from down under! Nonetheless, that’s why I follow you, my dear because every year you make me feel like I’m there! Keep on doing you, your followers love it.
Mira
Hi Mira. OK, I’m gonna do it! I do have a bit going on right now so it may take me a month or so to get to editing it up but I’m excited to share that experience. 😀 TY so much for being an inspiration!
Yes, please do a video of your side trip to Bisbee!! I have azurite, malachite, stalagmite, stalagtite and Campbellite copper from there. I have made cabochons out of many of the pieces I have. I would love to go there someday and dig for my own. The pieces I have we purchased from a nephew of the man that collected them and cut them for making jewelry. The gem show and Quartzsite is also on my bucket list.
OK, you’ve got it Jannette. I’ll be working on it. You can mine some turq. yourself in April! Check it out: http://turquoiseland.com/bisbee-turquoise-hunt-april-28-2017/ 😀
Hello crystal beauties!! Tell me more about the re-seller license…a must to attend the show?
