If Toxic Crystals Are So Bad, Why Do Some Recommend Them?

Well, I really cannot say why some recommendations don’t give at least a fair warning, but I suppose that most who are recommending the crystals assume the danger is low. Sometimes it is…and sometimes it isn’t.

Here’s a really good question I was recently asked by a student:

If Cinnabar is a toxic crystal why do crystal healing books recommend it?

For that matter, why would anyone recommend working with ANY toxic crystals at all?

In this video, I answer that question

Cinnabar are the red crystals in the photo below. The proper mineral name for Cinnabar happens to be Mercury Sulfide.

Cinnabar on dolomite & quartzCinnabar has a Mohs hardness (that’s a term we use to determine how hard it is) of 2 to 2.5. That means it’s relatively soft, meaning it can easily be scratched & can flake off. So, mercury that can easily flake off…hmmm, something to keep in mind.

Now, you may know that mercury is a toxic element…and it’s been known to make people go crazy. That’s right, NUTBALLZ.

COLOR OF THE YEAR: MARSALA ~ 2015 ~ Rubellite, Ruby + Cinnabar

Hola Crystal Hottie!

Today we are going to talk about Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year, which happens to be Marsala. Over the past few years, I’ve done a video with this theme, finding a crystal that embodies that specific light frequency.

Pantone describes Marsala as a “naturally robust & earthy wine red.”

Since making this video, I’ve discovered that yes, Marsala is indeed a wine produced in the region surrounding the Italian city of Marsala in Sicily.

Man! Marsala was a tough color.

Yeah, it was hard to find a crystal that was that exact color that Marsala is because a Pantone Color is very specific. I swear, while I was sitting down to make up this video, I could not think of any others! Was drawing a total blank.

Rubellite

Rubellite is actually a ruby-red color of tourmaline; hence its name! Tourmaline comes in almost every color of the rainbow.

The specimen I show in the video is actually a rubellite in clear quartz matrix & it’s a lighter color of the rubellite. It’s actually bordering on … Read More

Are there some crystals that never need cleansing?

Are there crystals that never need cleansing?

I LOVE this topic. It’s a good one. It keeps coming up b/c there are some popular crystal books that state that certain crystals just never need to be “cleansed” or re-tuned (my preferred word for it).

First, before we get into it…let me just say…if it works for you; keep on TRUCKIN’! Don’t let what I say here change your mind. See what your intuition tells you.

BUT…

I feel that all crystals need to be re-tuned from time to time.

I hear this “no cleansing thing” most often about:

  • selenite
  • kyanite
  • citrine

Again, I feel that there are no crystals or stones that do not require any cleansing.

crystals that never need cleansing Hi, I’m Selenite. Do I never need to be cleansed?

Here’s an old vid where I pondered this very question…

Do All Crystals Need to Be Cleansed?

I come at it from a physics point of view. What’s new?

Crystals have a very precise vibratory rate due to their precise molecular structure (that’s what makes a crystal a crystal). However just as an overplayed piano needs to be retuned from time to time, at some point … Read More

Crystal Characteristics Secrets Revealed

It’s Crystal Q&A time!

Today we’ve got a sparkly one for ya, with a call in question from Tess looking for guidance on a very special crystal.

She asks:

“How can I use & get the most out of a Quartz Crystal that I recently purchased?”

Watch this vid for my answer:

To be crystal clear (hee heee), there is no incorrect way of working with your crystal.

When you’re already strongly guided to purchase a certain crystal, use your intuition, Baby. Any personal guidance that you receive or inherently know, will be correct. Go with it. 🙂

Manifestor Quartz:

  • If you have a manifestor quartz crystal, as Tess describes in the video, then this type of crystal is REALLY GOOD for MANIFESTING!
    • You can work with this crystal in meditations to birth new ideas
    • Perfect for Crystal Grids & giving and extra boost to your grid intention
    • Can help boost your creative flow
    • Or anything else that you’d like to grow more of in your life!
