Healing crystals and stones come in all sizes, colors and shapes.
Each crystal has a unique vibrational resonance which is derived from their mineral content, shape and the colour frequency they emit. Every healing crystal has its own energy vibration. The energy of the crystal can have powerful effects on the energy vibrations within a person.

Crystals for Winter Solstice

Its almost time for Winter Solstice, and I want to talk about some crystals for the winter solstice… falling on Dec. 22 this year. For the last four years I’ve been doing an annual Winter Solstice Meditation using garnet as my focus-friend. Garnet is THE gemstone to have in your sacred space for Winter Solstice; specifically, Almandine Garnet. Here it is in all its red-delicious glory:

And here’s a vid on did on LUSCIOUS garnet not too long ago. Yum, yum. yum…:

Why garnet? Garnet has a sumptuous-smoldering inner fire (mmmmm) that rebels against even the most bitter cold winter days & seasonal melancholy (should you have any this time of year in the Northern Hemi.), especially for those of us who may suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder…brought on by the diminished sunlight. ((HUGS))

Almandine garnet’s gorgeous deep red color reminds me of the sacred Yule berry; holly! How perfect! Its known to bring courage & sweet vitality during dark winter months. Its also great for spiritual devotion.

So my Winter Solstice Meditation goes like this. I go into my sacred space, light a few candles, hold a … Read More

I’m Freakin’ Thankful for THIS! My Crystal Grids Book

My Crystal Grids Book

Ahhh! Eeeeee! I am completely blown away and AMAZED at how well my book is doing. OK, yes, I know its no John Grisham novel, my book’s about Crystal Grids, for the love of CUPCAKES!

Really. I just put it out there not really expecting too much more (b/c I didn’t put a heck of a lot of my own medicine into it… ‘cept I did make sure it launched while the Moon was waxing!). More than several of my students kept mentioning I should write a book plus, I needed to get the info out of my head & onto paper (or into a Kindle) just to clear out some room in my noggin.

I read a great book on how to Self Publish and followed all the little marketing advice gems in there like a good girl then decided to let it takes its natural course. I have the Crystal Academy that I’ve really been focusing my energy on.

I needed to just set it free.

So, I released it to Source Energy & then this happened!

It shot up to #4 in … Read More

Crystal Q & A: Electrical Properties?

I recently received this interesting question about crystal electrical properties:

“I was wondering about something for a while now & concluded that you are the best person I know of to ask 🙂 I have read that amber, jet & some other stones possess electric properties that can create an electrical charge? I don’t really understand this so it may be all wrong, but would you be able to explain it to me please & maybe how I can utilise this property?”

Now, this answer could get painfully boring but I’m not about that. I’m into getting the science across while making it as painless as possible & somehow find the FUN in it!

Crystals with Electrical Properties

Jet and amber both have the unique property of becoming electrically charged when rubbed with wool (inducing a negative charge) or silk (inducing a positive charge). You can geek out on that here.

TRY IT!: the turboelectric effect. I love saying that!

They can also become statically charged when they come in contact with your body. Then can be discharged simply by running underwater.

This is also a great way to tell the difference between copal, “Colombian Amber” and … Read More

Crystals to Help with Grief

Sadly, there have recently been some people in my life who have had to endure grief. The grief of losing a loved one.

It’s something we all have to go through at one time or another, but it’s certainly not something we look forward to and something we can use a bit of support with. We need to remember that grief is a very normal process that we must go through after the loss of a loved one to allow ourselves to process and work through.

If we don’t allow ourselves to mourn and grieve properly it may manifest itself in other ways. And come up unpleasantly later.

As for crystals and stones to help us work through the grief and grieving process; apache tear, champagne tourmaline, and smokey quartz are 3 wonderful stones to make the grieving process more bearable; helping to ease the grief of bereavement as we go through it.

I recently made up a mojo/Nanta bag for a friend who lost someone very special that contained apache tears, smokey quartz, marjoram herb along with essential oils of marjoram and chamomile (see more detail in the video below).
