Oh yes, we read the books and they’re great for telling us what this or that crystal is good for. But do they tell us how to do a crystal meditation? The actual how-to?
I always teach my students, I find the BEST way to make that connection and know what crystal works BEST for YOU is to do your own researching and work with it.
One way to work with your crystals is by regularly meditating with them; we’ll get to exactly how I like to do that in a bit…
Don’t say
“I can’t meditate”
You just need practice, the right guidance, and a crystal to get the most out of this practice and I’ve got some guidance for you today that anyone can use to get started…. Even if you “can’t meditate”! The ripple effects of meditating extend out into many important areas of my day and life — we’ll get to that.
Just promise me you’ll give it 30 days…
Even if you hate it and think it’s not working, trust me it is. Just like a muscle gets stronger, your meditation muscle is indeed strengthening. Don’t back off. Make this promise to yourself. After you’ve given it 30 days, if it didn’t work for you then you get to go around saying “I can’t meditate” but not unless you’ve given it a good college try!
I’ve been working and meditating with crystals for many years now so I have some wisdom to share as far as what works for me and for the many students I have taught over the years.
Benefits of Doing the Crystal Work
After working with a stone, you’ll get to know not only its unique physical characteristics (I know some of my crystals so well that I can pick it out of a bowl of dozens easily) but you’ll also have a better understanding of the specific vibrational frequencies it resonates best with you. You’ll create a special bond with that mineral while they encourage us to sit and listen to what other realms have to say without all the usual distractions of everyday life.
I have about a 1/2 dozen stones that I work with most often and that I’ve enjoyed getting to “know” their energy… and they’ve gotten to “know” mine in a resonant electromagnetic field kind of way.
What crystal meditations do for me is that they quiet my mind so that we can tap into my higher self as well as open up the channels to allow that crystal to communicate what it has to share with me. I end up having a special connection with those pieces that I don’t have with others because I haven’t worked on developing it. It’s really cool stuff!
By doing this work, you also get some great side benefits: you’ll get to hone your meditation skills and cultivate a regular meditation practice. You know… that thing your Dr.’s been telling you to do.
Health Benefits of Crystal Meditation
Yeah, yeah… you’ve heard it before, but let me tell you again because enough people aren’t doing it:
Practicing regular meditation greatly impacts your health…
I’m sure you already know that the health benefits of meditation are endless. But one of the most important scientific benefits is how it releases stress. (This is just icing on the cake to the spiritual benefits we’re receiving!) It will free you up from anxiety, worry + stress.
Who doesn’t want to be more happy, calm, and relaxed? Adding the crystals into this practice totally amplifies this effect, especially if you use crystals more aligned with calming: rose quartz, blue lace agate, lepidolite, etc.
Additionally, crystals make focused meditation easier by giving you a tangible focus object to center you and keep you in-the-moment.
Think of this daily practice as your spiritual nourishment; substances necessary for growth, good health, and evolution.
I’ve got a simple 5 step guide below, BUT FIRST…
If you’re one of those who consider yourself “not good at meditating go outside, start in nature. Mother Earth will ALWAYS help you.
My 4-Step How to Meditate with Crystals Progression
Here we go. Once you feel you’ve mastered a step you can evolve your practice to the next step:
- Start with a ~ guided meditation
- Move on to Susan Piver or another guided meditation like hers (she escorts you for the first few minutes) – 10 minutes total meditation time
- Move to 10 min. solo (no spoken guidance) with gentle music (link to my Pandora station)
- Next, increase to 15-20 minutes with gentle music
- If you feel called to, move to silence, no music at all
Here’s my simple 5-step guide on HOW to meditate with crystals…
- Get into a sacred space, set a space aside to use only for this purpose (a corner or closet is just fine)
- Ring a chime, tingshas or bell – an excellent audible signal to begin meditation, plus it helps to restructure the energy in your space, making it ideal for meditation.
- Try to keep your spine straight while relaxing your entire body, focus on relaxing every muscle – allows your energy to flow better
- Hold your crystal in a gentle way in your left hand (receiving hand), don’t grip it. You can ask: “please show me”
- Now just focus on feeling your breath
Have you done a similar practice? Have you not tried meditation at all? Want to publicly declare that you will?

Thank you for joining me here today. As always, Crystal Blessings and Namaste.
Good morning HM,
This was just the manageable push I needed to get back on track with daily meditation. Thank you!
Yay! So happy to hear that, Susan!!
Excellent “useful” information as usual.
Making myself accountable to the Universe, I will start again and keep it up.
Had the class with Angie, she was great.
Thank You
So glad you find it useful, Karen. ♥ Crystal Blessings to you on your Crystal Journey!
Good Morning HM ~ I’m wondering if you have a couple of crystals that are your Go To for meditation every time or do you really mix them up depending on what your focus may be? Thanks for all of your helpful info! ????????
I tend to have about 6 that I go-to most often… but once in a while, I throw a rogue one in there! 😉
I love meditating with crystals. I slept with a citrine chrystal for 5 years. I am subscribed and taken the Crystal Healing Course, but I didn’t get a notice for this video. I was working on Scout Bartlett’s site and I found you, first one listed, on his you tube site. Amazing.
Thank you for teaching us about “Your Crystal World”. It is so exciting and rewarding!
You make my Heart Smile!

Thank you! ????
I have been wanting an easy way to begin practicing meditation, and I think this is exactly what I need. I have attempted “meditation” before and felt more stressed. Currently I simply sit holding select crystals (mainly lepidolite and rose quartz) for calm and loving support; now with your guidance I can turn that into a routine with greater focus and purpose. Thanks for the gift, as well as your encouragement and guidance, you are a blessing!
Hi Leila, that stress you were felling may be rising from frustration around it. I hope these steps allow your release that frustration. ♥
Thank you for the gift and for the very practical guide and advice! I like to meditate with my crystals while soaking in a nice bath. This is also a great way to let go of the day and energy that is not for your highest good at the end of the day. Fluorite is my favorite stone for releasing the stuff I do not want or need and Amethyst is my tried and true companion, though Ocean Jasper is fast becoming a favorite.
Oh yes, a bathing meditation is soooo nice! TY for sharing your tips, Ruby. 🙂
Thank you for your wise and enchanting advice. Always a pleasure to hear and see your videos
Thanks for being a part of the MAGIC, Claudia. 😀
Thank you so much for the beautiful information, I love listening to you. I have tried meditating before but could never stick with it. And I have never tried it with a crystal. I am going to take your challenge of 30 days. I have a lot of crystals, so to begin with would I use a pendulum to see what crystal to work with or just take one and go with it? Thank you again for all of your information, I am wanting to be able to use my crystals more for my health and for gridding.
Yes, Shelli, that’s a great idea to use your pendulum to pick. Enjoy your journey with this. ♥
Thank you for these easy but great tips!
Thank you for the information much appreciate thank you
My total pleasure, Teresa ♥
I’ve signed up for the newsletter several times, but never received it. And I’ve checked junk/spam also. I would really love to get it! ????
Hey Stacey, please send us an email: support@HibiscusMoon.com so we can get this fixed for you! 🙂
Afternoon HM and thank you for your extremely helpful guidance on crystal meditation! I have always been interested in crystal healing and meditation for years, however it’s only within this last year, that I have really dedicated myself. I have been watching your videos and subscribe to your newsletter, but I wanted to reach out and let you know how much I appreciate and enjoy listening to you. I have just tried your guided meditation with a piece of raw selenite and started to feel a light vibration. I would love to listen to a longer guided meditation with you and look forward to the second day of your 30 day challenge!!
Thanks so much, Lis ((HUGS)) And I’m so excited you got something from that meditation!!!! If you’d like a longer meditation I think you’ll enjoy my Full Chakra Recalibration here: https://hibiscusmoon.com/fullchakra/ 🙂
Thank so much. You always have great, useful information. Sometimes I wondering, “Am I doing this right?” Then I’ll you’ll talk about something in your blogs that addresses it. Today it was having your spine in alignment, there are times when I (at least this is what I call it) “go inside” and my spine will straighten out (kinda like an elder telling someone to stand up straight, and maybe they are!). Thanks for the confirmation that I’m doing something right!
Nowadays meditation is the best way to stress out and really thank you so much for sharing! It is very useful to me.
Meditating regularly is a great practice indeed! And using a crystal cluster add on several benefits to the same. From boosting harmony to increasing the exchange of positive energies, there is a lot one can leverage from.
Hi Hibiscus
Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and love for crystals. I am doing your course at the moment but have fallen way behind. Never mind though, I’ll catch up!! This crystal meditation info is great, just what I need. I’m going to do it right now. It’s a rainy afternoon here on the Isle of Skye, so this should brighten up the day.
Brightest blessings to you.

Good morning and thank you for sharing .I want to learn how to do proper meditation with some crystals which I bought today.
I know you are a teacher, but have you thought of selling unique crystals that I can get to at the Tuscon Gem Show on your website?
I want to try this so much I see how it helps my co worker but I have no idea where to even start ? Where do I get crystals ? How do I know which ones will work?
Good morning Hibiscus Moon! Love watching your lives when I can get to them….thanks for the download. Yes I do have my favourites that I hold and sleep with and I feel connection and are named but it’s the journaling I struggle with! Commitment, accountability and procrastination are my biggest enemies! My “reason” for not going past this exercise in my course is you say don’t have any other crystals near you while doing this practise…there is not a space in my house or garden that doesn’t have crystals and there are too many to move!!…even the toilets ???? . You always inspire me when I see you. Guess it’s a matter of “Just do it…you are worth it!!” ????♥️????
Hello Hibiscus Moon and thank you for the e-kit. I learned how to meditate through chanting. I have been drawn to crystals since I learned chanting to meditation. I took many intensives and one that comes to mind is when we worked with our crystal and asked if the crystal was a he or she and then what was the crystal’s name. Quite fascinating and it brought me to participate in your 2021 CCP course which I am finishing up the last assignment so I can graduate and I’m already looking towards the next course, I want to take the master class. Thank you again and blessings, can’t wait to see you again in class.
Hello HM,
I’m new to meditating with crystals (honestly all meditation), I just need some guidance on where to begin crystal wise. A couple of years ago I lost my daughter. It was a long battle. I was young (27) and unfortunately my marriage ended shortly after Charlotte passed. I want to remember her in a positive way. I know feeling heart break is normal. But I never worked through my grief. My dr suggested meditation. And I ended up here! So I’m curious where I can begin with healing. Obviously I am working with an amazing support system, that I’m truly thankful for. But I would like to know myself and heal on a personal level. If you have any tips on what crystals to start with, please share???? Thank you
[…] Using crystals in your meditation can make your Mindfulness Practice stronger and help with Spiritual Growth. You can hold a crystal in your hand or put it on a chakra point. This lets the Vibrational Therapy of the stone match your energy9. Or, you can make a crystal grid with stones in a special pattern to boost their effect10. […]
