I’m always being asked:
“So, what’s the best way to store our crystals?”
Well, there is no BEST way, but many good ways to handle our crystal collection storage. You just have to choose what will fit your lifestyle best, depending on how you use your crystals day-to-day.
Here’s a video where I showed how I store some of my non-display crystals:

These are the storage options I show in the video:
And check out how our very own Hibiscus Moon Certified Crystal Healer Lexi Stefanski does crystal storage for use during her crystal healing sessions with clients below. I love this idea!
You can find a similar portable storage case (like Lexi’s) here:

If I have to transport my crystals I like to use a pistol case. I line the foam with black cloth and keeps everything safe and snug. I have one of the 4 pistol sized case and it gives me two layers to fill. They hold a lot and are easy to case plus you can put a lock on them. This is the one I have.

Thanks for the tip, Tracey!
I store my crystals in an old chest and use Bamboo dividers I found at Target. In some instances I had to add balsa wood pieces to divide the larger sections. Not perfect but it does the job.
I keep my tumbled and raw stones in cotton bags. Then I needed something bigger than the box I had to store them. I went to Amazon and searched on containers. I found a set kf six, stackable lunch containers with three sections each. And the tops were colored red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple (chakra colors, lol). So I put my red jasper and red tiger’s eye in two of the compartments of a container with a red lid. I have carnelian and orange calcite in an oranged-lidded container, citrine and yellow aventurine in one that has a yellow top, etc. I can’t see the crystals, however, since they are in bags. The containers are stackable and are easy to store!
I actually create and sell crystal jewelry, so I have a lot of stones. I found stackable storage trays, and each section clips to the next. I needed two sets of three trays, but it works beautifully. I even store the two sets inside a small suitcase with a handle and wheels which makes them portable as well.
For those who want to store their crystals in a more “natural” container, a wood cantilever sewing box would work very well. There are several at Amazon just search on those words – at various price ranges. Cantilevered sewing boxes are available at other locations as well, I’m sure.
Crystals enjoy the light of the day. They don’t like to be locked in a dark case (when transporting them it’s ok). The best is sort of crystal container or wood/bamboo w glass lid. Etsy, Target, local flea markets are good places to find them.
