What are Non-Negotiables?
They follow your principles, values and define what you will and won’t accept from others.
These are your deal-breakers.
When it comes to Certifying Crystal Healers, I have some non-negotiables in place that I’m a stickler for.
Sometimes it’s not so great to be so non-flexy.
Like if people make a plan with me and it ends up having to change at the last minute, oh my.
Major problema for me.
But I think when it comes to my academy’s integrity this is a great thing!
How did I get like this?
Through the rigorous process of becoming a Nationally Board Certified Science Teacher, I learned the importance and value of student critical thinking and assessment of content knowledge.
I’ve never given out grades as the “popular” teachers did. And over the last decade that we’ve been certifying as a Crystal Academy… just to make my life easier.
I’ve seen many do it, but that just goes against every grain in my being.
Mega-Support
I believe in providing mindset assists and lots of support to get our grads to the finish line and we pour lots of resources, time and energy into doing this.
That’s a non-negotiable for me — No question is EVER left behind.
Be Mindful of Your Energy
Another “for instance”; I require that our CCH students be mindful of the energy they bring into a transaction of any sort.
Meaning that they are mindful of:
- how they carry themselves
- how they transact energy of any sort (including money)
- their boundaries
- things that say and do
Personally, I think that’s really important. How about you?
That’s all energy you know.
Of course, I’m not looking for perfection, but as HMCA students and alumni, they’re held to a higher standard.
Yes, we keep an eye on that; holding our students accountable. I feel strongly as an educator and a certifying body that it’s our responsibility to make an effort to monitor that before allowing someone to go out into the world certified by us to facilitate energy work with others.
Running a course that requires no effort or demonstration of mastery to earn your credentials or a paper certificate is certainly not what I was put here on Mama Earth for.
I feel that’s important.
How do you feel about places that do a “you-pay-you-get-your-instant-certificate”?
- No accountability?
- No demo of mastery?
- No assessment?
No judgment. There are pros and cons to it as with everything. I’m truly interested to hear your thoughts on that. Not because I’m going to change what we do, but because I’m curious to hear what you have to say.
Crystal Correspondance Memorization
Another thing is — I’m not into making people memorize crystal properties.
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that either… there are courses out there if that’s more of what you’re looking for. I just don’t feel it’s necessary, nor in many cases, is that info even VALID any longer. Cosmic shifts, yo.
My method teaches you to really get to know your crystals, custom to you, based on current energies and we take a more personal approach to that. This EMPOWERS you.
The Science Behind Crystal Healing
Also, I want you to understand the SCIENCE. This helps to build mega-confidence in your crystal skills!
It’s also critical to me that when you register with us you:
- are committed to learning
- want to build a strong foundation through critical thinking and assessment
- your goal is to profoundly develop your crystal practice, confidence and skills before sharing it out with clients (pay-for certificate don’t even take that into account)
- will come to recognize crystals as powerful energetic tools and have adequate training to use them in an effective, yet secure, safe & sensible manner
I invite you to comment below… seriously, what do you think about my standards?
I’ve baked these non-wavering principles and integrity into our culture. Because I’ve laid that groundwork and have refused to waiver from the very beginning, our alumni and our community see the tremendous value and sense of true accomplishment in graduating as a Hibiscus Moon Certified Crystal Healer.
It’s appreciated, well-earned, respected and admired. That’s how the confidence is effortlessly delivered to our grads.
Our academy, badge, and designation are recognized all over the world for this.
And money doesn’t play into it.
Because if it did, I would simplify everything, throw integrity to the wind and just do the easy pay-for-certificate model.
I’ll never do that.
My value system won’t let me. I’m too much of a hard-ass.
Maybe… when I semi-retire I may go the route of removing the certification element altogether. But that’s years down the road.
As long as my crystal academy is certifying you, you better believe the checks and balances will stay in place. Our grads are so proud of that!!
Judgments from others also don’t matter. I do get dragged, judged and sometimes trolled by others for the way I choose to run my academy. I don’t care. Because I have my principles that I choose to stick too. These are promises I’m prepared to keep, no matter what.
This DOES NOT mean my way is the right way or the only way, but it’s the way that’s in alignment for me and for how I choose to certify others to do this important work.
If this doesn’t resonate with you, I KNOW there are other schools out there that will fit what you’re looking for. There’s “a right one” just for you. Or maybe you choose to not get certified at all (go solo) … and that’s totally OK too!
I’m so very proud of the fact that we have over 2,000 graduates from over 40 countries around the globe.
And you may be happy to learn that our Spring 2020 registration will be opening very soon! Get on our Wait List here for first notice and some pretty juicy perks.
I invite you to comment below… I’ve got a 2-part Comment Challenge for you:
I’d love to know:
- What’s one non-negotiable you have (crystal related or not)? I just love to hear about others’ boundaries.
- What do you honestly think of my deal-breakers?
Crystal Blessings,
I love honor and respect your “non-negotiables”
I only wish I could afford your crystals course.
TY Teresa! Keep in mind, we do have payment plan options and sometimes its a matter of re-prioritizing some things, canceling some subscritpions, etc. or… knowing that this may not be your right time. 🙂
Two faced people, deal breaker, right there!!
My non-negotiable is to live a life of authenticity with integrity and honor. I am drawn to your course for many reasons, but the most important being what is represented by your deal-breakers – your personal and professional integrity.
I LOVE that Deborah! ♥
Sense of honor and hard work ,commitment to the things that have to be done. And most of all I will not bend for anyone in the use of my herkamers diamond
My non-negotiable is when some pretends to know because of ego. I like to ask question when I don’t understand or know and I like it when other do also. I feel that your non negotiable are strong boundaries that are clear and concise making them easy to follow
YEs, good to be humble and honest when you’re just not sure. 🙂
I feel your standards are clear and display a high level of integrity to the healing community and to those participating in the academy. Which will foster a relationship of trust between the you the instructor and the students. I would love to know the price of the cost.
Thank you, Caroline. All the info is here: https://hibiscusmoon.com/cch-enroll/ and if you get on the Wait List, sometimes we do special tuition savings there. 😉
Absolutely LOVE all your Non-Negotiables! Totally grateful for the Mega Support and the Non-Memorization (I might not have made it thru if I had to do that)! And SO grateful for all the Science behind the CCH and ACM classes I took! It helped me understand much more about the Universe, crystals, their formation and how WE are so like them!
One of my Non-Negotiables is DO NO HARM to all Living Beings and MaMa Earth! I cannot support anyone or anything that does. I could get on a soap-box with this but won’t. Another Non-Negotiable is SHARE WHAT YOU KNOW. We’re all here just learning and it really upsets me if you ask questions of those who have/ know specific knowledge that can help you and they refuse to share it for whatever reason. Maybe that’s just an ego thing on their part making them feel superior. Another is WALK THE TALK. Don’t sit there and spout off what everyone else ‘should do’ when you yourself are not doing it!
As always LOVE YOU HM!!!! Crystal Blessings!
I will add a third non-negotiable to my list below and agree with Dee 100%…DO NO HARM <3 to any person, place, animal, to anyone or anything!!!
♥♥
Dee, *mwah, mwah, mwah!* Love you, lady! And love those boundaries. ♥ Thanks for sharing them.
I love your “non-negotiable.” I was nodding to everything you were saying. I was taught at a young age you don’t get anything for free you have to earn it. My parents instilled integrity personally and professionally. I very new to crystals. (My husband can’t wait to learn also) I with an essential oil company a lot of people are starting to incorporate crystals with oils. They say to use this and that crystal to do this but when I ask why they can’t answer. I want to know the science behind it all. I’m excited to learn the “right” way. When I have the certificate I want to prove that I deserved it and I can explain to people why this will help you. When I started working with essential oils. I got a certification for aromatherapy because I wanted people to know that I was serious. I wanted an unbiased opinion about oils not what everyone else says. I hope that makes sense. Integrity is a non negotiable to myself. I never thought about the energy with money exchange. Everyone has tough times and this time is mine. Long story short. We moved and our home improvement company is starting slowly to build. I was in the hospital so I have hospital bills almost $20,000 so I will have to wait til next class.
Love your story Cristi. TY for sharing that. ♥
I have 2 non-negotiable rules that are paramount to my energy here on Earth.
1) NO B.S.! I tell it like it is, the good, the bad and the ugly. Some people are uncomfortable with this but most people admire the fact that I am not afraid to speak my truth (from a space of LOVE of course!)
2) If I say I am going to do something, I DO IT. My word is something you can count on!!!
Your non-negotiable truths are perfect!
Hmmm, Monique… you and I sound like the same person. 😉
That is a compliment and an honor….thank you from a grateful heart <3
Your discussion and non negotiables resonated with me. I have been watching you from afar for a while and today you called out to me. I have crystals all around me in my home and in my gardens, ( I am blessed with the Fairy Realm for finding beautiful crystals from the earth) I am always looking for knowledge and new ways to learn. I will watch for your course. In the meantime I will get your book and templates for crystal grids.
In light,
Sandra
((HUGS)) Sandra. Thanks for comign out of the closet! If you’re on my Wait List… keep a close eye on your inbox! If you’re not you can get on here: https://hibiscusmoon.com/cch-enroll/
Upon reading some of your responses I would like to add my non-negotiables:
Honesty, consideration for all, empathy and compassion.
♥♥
I LOVE the fact that you have these non-negotiables and values at the heart of your course and certification. It really is what sets you apart from many others and was certainly a big factor for me in deciding to take your course…….which I can’t wait for!!????????❤️
Crystal Blessings!!
Excited for you to join us, Susan! 😀
Absolutely!!! I don’t want to get a certification that I didn’t earn and I don’t want to pay money for something that isn’t going to REALLY teach me a lot.
WORD, Vicki!!
One of mine is repeating the same old dogma about each crystal so I was happy to see that you believe things are shifting. In the past few months, it has seemed like a lot of information is just yesterday news.
If we, plants and animals evolve why wouldn’t minerals? So your approach of allowing the changes, the evolution of nature to resonate with you speaks to me.
I hear ya on that Lillie!
I believe in several things that I personally will not accept. I will never go to a course where there are not checks and balances in place, if I were to pay the money for the education, you had better make it worth my money and time and effort. I don’t accept liars because I have no filter and what I say in reply to any question is what immediately pops into my head leaving very little space for lies and I know when I am being lied to. So don’t bother lying to me because I will turn around and walk away while your still spewing garbage out of your mouth.
I believe in treating people with respect until I am shown that the respect is not deserved. If you are negative around me and try to bring me down, I will walk away from that as well. I keep my promises because I’m only as good as my word. If I say something then I am responsible for doing what I said that I would. Even if I don’t want to, after I have said that I will. I will always complete my part of the bargain, if I completed my part and hand it over to you to do your part and you fail to do so, it’s your failure and not mine as I’ve done my portion of the deal we made. I am always willing to help someone who needs it, but they are going to have to involve themselves in their own issues, I can’t do everything for them because they will never learn to take care of themselves. And another thing I won’t fold on, is if I make a mistake, I’ll be the first to tell you about it, and I will always admit to my own shortcomings. I am not perfect, but I don’t expect a lot of others, or they can find someone else to take care of their every need.
I’m 47 today and I have built up a lot of rules for living my life on my own terms. I figure that if you really want help, enough to ask for it, you should at least try to make the effort to help me help you.
With that, I am going to say goodbye for now. Thank you so much Hibiscus ???? Moon for having the integrity you do. Lots of others don’t come equipped.
Blessed be,
Kristen Leigh
I love these boundaries, Kristen. You’re a girl after my own heart! TY for sharing. 🙂
This was so very important to hear. My non-negotiables are very similar. Hearing this confirms I have made the right choice to participate in this course. So excited to further my scientific and metaphysical studies.
Love and Light,
Phylis
My one most important non-negotiable is confidentiality – it goes with trust. I need to trust a friend knowing when I confide in her/him it stays between us, Super important. And I keep that in my business, too. What my clients share with me stays between us.
I love yours, Hibiscus. It is all so important. Thank you for sharing so much with this energetic tribe!
After living on this Earth over a half a century, I’ve finally learned how to channel my empathic/emotional nature and I have given myself permission to be the authentic loving, caring and helpful person that I am. I pray to my guardian and arch-angels (Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Metatron, etc.) and use my crystals to put a hedge of protection around me at all times while working with other. (I’m a probation officer). I’ve learned how to be compassionate to others and I have discovered the secret to share my sparkle of love and light by sprinkling seeds of spiritual awakening in their gardens, while not allowing myself to becoming a doormat in the ego games in life’s gardens.
My non-negotiables are BE AUTHENTIC, BE TRANSPARENT, BE HONEST, BE KIND, BE HARDWORKING AND FOLLOW YOUR PASSIONS. In doing so, do not deflect your disappointments, heart aches, anger, frustrations, or ego issues onto me or onto anyone else while your in my space. I will help you dig deep within yourself for the answers, but I refuse to carry your problems.
It took me a VERY LONG TIME to learn this lesson. In 2019, I experienced an EXPLOSIVE SPIRITUAL AWAKENING and I look forward to the quantum leaps that will emerge in 2020!
Thank you for your knowledge, experience, love and light Hibiscus Moon!
XO,
Lainie Fryer
I totally agree with you and Im in line with your Non Negotiable, my stickler is people calling themselves Reiki Masters, in my book there is only one master and Im not it, It took me over 4 years to complete my level 3 due to my Reiki teacher made us go out and practice, volunteer 2 night a week to hone our skills as a Reiki student and so forth and so on until I completed my 3rd Level Certification, I also had to teach students level one, that was scary at first but I loved it, hopefully you get my squirrel trail lol,I will be a attendees in March/April class 2020, thanks for listening…
Mary Michael
LOVE your non-negotiables! I am a hairstylist and nothing was more discouraging than seeing certificates being handed out hand over fist for nothing! Pay for the class and work hard to earn that certificate!!
It’s important to me to actually learn what you are doing and not just haphazardly spilling your good or bad energy into someone else!
Looking forward for I hopefully taking this class in March!!
I feel exactly the same. I am a Reiki Master and continue to educate myself to be the best channel I can be. I take it very seriously if I attune anyone to the Reiki energy that they will hold it in the same regard as I do. It’s sacred to me. So your principals and integrity are why I signed up to take your course in March and I can’t wait. I have been collecting crystals for many years and taken a course but dont feel I got out of it wha t i will with yours. It wasn’t just a pay for a certificate I did have assignments and tests but not the in depth info with science, and Energy I am hoping to get out of your course. Super excited.
My non negotiable…..is to be me. That’s not as easy as it sounds! I come from a generation that didn’t talk about things. I hid my Spiritual whoo hoo side from everyone in my life except my husband. He got it figured out real soon into our relationship lol. Now I’m looking for Mentors to help me with my confidence and knowledge about crystals. I love the way you teach. I’ve always known I connect with crystal now I want find out why and how I can move forward with them. I’m retiring soon but have so much to offer others at this stage in my life. Im always amazed and inspired by the younger generation and I love your non negotiable…my mom always told me “if it’s to good to be true….take another look at it! It’s usually not true”. If things are handed to you they usually don’t hold any value. Thank you for this opportunity I look forward to taking your course! I’m not sure if this is the right time for me since I’m still working. I want to make sure I’m able to put all my energy into the course when I do decide to take it. Retirement is just around the corner.
LOVE and agree a 100% on your non negotiables!! Honesty, raw/loving truth and integrity are huge for me! Have loved crystals for years and started learning more about them during my spiritual journey. I’m SO excited to take this course and was even more excited to learn you teach the science part of it to!!!
What amazing and beautiful gemstones and very informative article help me a lot in enhancing my knowledge…Thank you
My non-negotiables are what drew me to your coursework. I am a science geek as well and
work with fractal mathematics and quantum physics which go hand in hand with what you offer. Most peoples’ eyes glaze over when I talk to them about that stuff. You’ve given me a better way to talk to curious people, thank you! When I run across someone who tries to tell me crystals are evil or powerless I tell them I will give them all my crystals if they give me the two carat crystal (diamond) on their left ring finger. No one has taken me up on that
yet and it’s been 20 years! I get a lot of flack from religious folks who don’t do their homework. I have plenty of facts to educate them thanks to my Bible and your info! I am very proud of my certification from HMCA and always look forward to more! Keep up the good work and all those who have anything less than positive regarding you or your programs are just jealous. It’s unusual to have a solid mind, high integrity, and beauty all rolled into
one person! Keep the bar high! You’re the best!
p.s. I’m looking forward to an advanced course…
Blessings.
Your non-negotiables are spot on HM!! both of them.. Mine are this:
1. Speak the truth from a place of LOVE
2. Never make a promise that cannot be kept.
I do what i can to help others and never promise something i cannot fulfill. I am new to crystals and have learned so much these past several months. Stumbled on your site quite by accident actually. I never worked with crystals before this past year. My son died in May last year and i started looking for something to keep me busy. I planned first to do a painting that involved crystals and resin… i ordered a bag of mixed stones and proceeded to sort thru them. I immediately discovered the energy i was encountering with them was calming and soothing and i was so very able to start thinking more clearly about everything in general and specifically was able to start working thru my grief. I started researching the different ones i was finding were part of the batch i had received & found they were some of the more healing ones out there. So i can unequivocally say that working with them helped save my sanity.. TY for a great site and a lot of good info. I wish i could afford your course but i am on disability and just cannot see my way clear to pay for it in any way.. :'(
Its so refreshing that people still have integrity and standards they set for themselves, now and then it seems like its not happening anymore. Good for you! I agree! Blessings to you. Im planning on taking your course, but I dont know about this year, next year I hope! Thanks for all you do!
I think it’s very important to have non-negotiables! I wish more people did. Integrity is so important especially if you are providing something as valuable as a certification. It shouldn’t be easy peasy. I love to learn and when I first came across your website several years ago, I knew you were the right teacher for me. 🙂
Your blog always full of knowledge and I love to read your blog again and again.
Been following you since the beginning of your public crystal journey and was immediately attracted by your authenticity, honesty and “sparkliness”. I love that you bring the science of crystal energy to share with us and I greatly appreciate your integrity and your hands on dedication of sharing your knowledge within your boundaries. The Universe has finally opened up the way to enable me to be on your next course and I am so honoured to be able to do so.
My biggest non negotiable is to be authentic. I believe in sharing what I learn, being empathetic and Words and actions coming from heart based love. Nature is my grounding force as that is where all life lessons and connectedness can be found. ❤️
Honesty, Integrity, Open-mindedness, and the ability to resolve conflict in a respectful manner. So many people argue on behalf of their ego, rather than seek to learn, understand, and progress.
Light and love to you Hibiscus for sharing your great knowledge with all of us. As a former teacher I can relate you your non-negotiables and value them as my own. Respect, empathy, assurance, acknowledgement, and a passion for knowledge guide me in my desire to learn as much from the universe as possible. I was humbled to find your website just when I needed it, and so excited to be part of this, becoming one with the great treasures of our planet.
My biggest non-negotiable is lack of honesty. If I found out that someone was lying to my, it is VERY hard for me to “forgive and forget”.
I love that you have deal breakers! If you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for everything.
What’s one non-negotiable you have (crystal related or not)?
I suggest to myself or others who wish for my led in opinion, that trying to be your authentic self at all times, around people or alone is a non-negotiable reality. I see this as what is meant by the coined phrases “to thy own self be true–follow your divine path– live in love, light and truth.: To me this is the key to successful creating abundance and happiness or making all efforts in ones life to work. This is why it is non-negotiable.
.
What do you honestly think of my deal-breakers?
Deal breakers are people or situations that get in the way of the above stated non-negotiable path. Because who doesn’t want love, happiness and money? Anything, that stops your true self to shine stops your abundance and love.
Ever since I happened upon one of your videos I knew this is where I needed to be. Where I could truly learn about the magic, power and the science within Mother Earth’s treasures. I became a little addicted to your videos. I’ve struggled to explain to other within my world the importance of Crystal work. As you can imagine, the eye rolls I received from my peer group as a RN in the high tech IV infusion world. HA HA HA! Yes, I’ve always been that weird one in the group that others found so amusing. So, you can probably imagine the excitement I felt when I heard you preach THE SCIENCE behind crystal work. I was so excited to find your videos! I eagerly soaked up the concept of healing with Crystals and the science behind it!!! Crystals have always been a part of my life. I’ve had this inexplicable draw to these beautiful and power natural tools. As a RN,(now retired) your non- negotiables make absolute sense to me.
I long to learn and explore territories others may not understand or deem strange. Being a Healer in traditional western medicine has been deeply satisfying on many levels however, I’ve always known there was more. And, I yearned to explore other realms. Connecting the science and magic of crystal healing is the perfect recipe in my mind. Thank you for this opportunity to be on this journey with you all!
Now, on to the other half of the question at hand. My non- negotiables…..Hmmm, what an interesting question to bring forward. I really had to think long and hard about this. Here is what came to me, being accepted completely for who and what I am and receiving respect for what I bring to an interaction. Then, in turn, holding myself accountable for delivering the same to others. Of course, I also agree with much of the previously stated non – negotiables. Sorry for the long winded answer, I guess its apparent I’m excited to be here. Thanks again Robin 🙂
